Our founder, Mr. Rajiv Kanda, spent over 22 years as a Corporate HR Head with leading multinational companies. Despite a successful corporate career, his heart always remained connected to jewellery — a passion inherited from his family of jewellery artisans and nurtured by his fascination with design and craftsmanship.
In 2013, driven by his long-standing dream, Rajiv took the bold step of entering the jewellery business. At this crucial stage, his wife Mrs. Nisha Kanda took the lead in operations and sales, managing a small jewellery store tucked inside a market lane in Panchkula. The space was modest, but the vision was limitless. This is where Payal Wala was born. With her strong retail background and natural flair for customer relationships, Nisha played a key role in building a loyal customer base. By 2016, the brand had grown steadily, enabling Rajiv to step away from the corporate world and join Payal Wala full-time as its CEO.
